The original bone nut measures 1 9/16' in width, and the headstock retains the Kluson Deluxe-style nickel tuners. The guitar plays cleanly up the neck, and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted.

The rosewood fretboard retains the original medium jumbo fretwire, and the frets show decent grooves beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3, with fainter wear extending until fret 7. The neck has a notably slender and fast-feeling C shaped profile with modest shoulder and gentle taper as you travel up the fretboard, measuring.
